Wine should be fun, not intimidating.
One of the things I hear most often is, "I love wine, but I don't know much about it." As if enjoying wine somehow requires you to be an expert.
Here's a secret: if you're curious enough to explore unusual wines, small producers and lesser known regions, you'll quickly realise that nobody knows everything about wine. If they pretend otherwise, they're lying.
That's why I created The Clumsy Sommelier. My mission is to take the pretentiousness out of wine tasting and replace it with curiosity, creativity and confidence. There are no silly questions, no wrong opinions and no judgement. We all experience wine differently, and that's exactly how it should be.
Because the best wine isn't the most expensive bottle or the one with the highest score. It's the one you enjoy, shared with people you like.
The next few evenings
Small groups, themed each time. £25 per person, six places each evening. Booking is simple and payment is by bank transfer.
